Colony Court Resident Profile

Say Hello to Mary

“I love it here. The people are so nice!”

Mary Ambroz

Colony Court Resident

This month of August 2020, brings us to introduce another of our residents, Mary Ambroz. She was born into the Summer family in January of 1953. Mary spent most of her life in Waseca, graduating from school in 1971. She attended Winona Vocational School for Business and then took a job at EF Johnson’s. She raised her two girls as a stay at home mom until they were old enough to attend school, then she went back to work. Mary held positions at Triax Cable, Itron, and later she returned to EF Johnson’s. In 1988 she met, fell in love, and married Larry Ambroz.

Mary fell and seriously injured her back many years ago, and working was no longer feasible, so she enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles and watching her favorite TV programs.

Unfortunately, she continued to have falls, and last year her doctor helped her decide to move to an assisted living facility. Mary chose Colony Court because her mother had lived here in the past. “I love it here. The people are so nice!”

Well, we love having you as part of our family, Mary, so thanks for chosing us!

Thank You

My dad and our family were so blessed to have such an amazing group of people care for my dad. Along with getting to know the other residents was truly a wonderful gift. They are all our second family.”
